Welcome to the MUSA Junior Archaeologists website!

MJA ran from March 2010 - April 2011 with monthly club meetings where children aged 8 - 12 learned all about archaeology. MUSA played host to activities, digging lessons, special guests and much more. MJA was a special 12 month project funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and has now come to an end.

Special Thanks go out to the many people who made the club the success it has been:Henry Rae, Crail Pottery, Jessica Holmes, Museum Collections Unit staff, Tom Dawson, Rebecca Sweetman, Paula and Colin Martin, Mairead Ni Challanain, Maeve McCormick, The Hammond Family and Arianna Carlini

Use this website to contact club leaders with any questions and follow useful links to find out even more about archaeology, history and local heritage. Use the blog to read about what we got up to and see photos and news from club meetings each month. Use the gallery link below to see the highlights of the year.

The Future

MJA will continue on from Autumn 2011 in a new format. We will be running archaeology workshops four times a year starting from September coinciding with Archaeology Month. Stay tuned here to find out more information coming soon!
